Recall of oysters, mussels and clams marketed on December 15, 2022 in large and medium-sized fishmongers. That concerns the filter shells models of the Etang de Thau in baskets or in bulk.

This is not the first time that oysters are victims of a massive recall . On New Year's Eve, oysters, clams and mussels from the Thau pond were prohibited for sale .
These products are infected with norovirus . This infectious agent is particularly contagious and causes diarrhea and vomiting, symptoms that usually occur between 6 and 48 hours after eating shellfish.
A decree is taken this Friday, December 30 by the prefecture of Hérault:
“Following several declared cases of collective food poisoning due to the consumption of oysters from the Thau pond, analyzes of the shellfish demonstrated the presence of norovirus. »
