Mathieu, candidate for the fifteenth season of 'Love is in the meadow', posted an old photo of him on his Instagram account.

On December 10, 2022, Mathieu, former candidate of 'Love is in the meadow' , was doing some sorting through his business. While searching, he came across an old photo of himself from twenty years ago. Immediately, he hastened to share his discovery on social networks. Seeing the snapshot, Internet users were charmed .

“Love is in the meadow”: a couple has formed

Matthew and Alexander were the iconic couple of the 15th season of “Love is in the meadow”. As a reminder, the first male marriage of the show was formalized at the town hall of Sernhac (Gard) in June 2021.

Karine Le Marchand, who loved this couple, attended a wedding for the first time born thanks to the appointment of M6. They were not only accomplices , but also very adored by viewers.

Their relationship didn't end there. Indeed, the couple formed in the show 'Love is in the meadow' also considering having a child together . A baby they planned to have through surrogacy. Unfortunately, along the way, the two men announced bad news .

The divorce of Mathieu and Alexandre

Mathieu had announced in the program hosted by Jordan de Luxe on the Télé Loisirs site that his couple started divorce proceedings . A news that was quickly confirmed since the couple confessed directly to their fans during a live Instagram.

“We want to show that we can separate without tearing ourselves apart. Of course I suffer from it, but we are not in hatred. We made a decision of love, we call each other every day. I want us to stay happy,” said Mathieu.

Which is the reason for this break ? The former candidate of 'Love is in the meadow' clarified:

“Alexandre needs tranquillity, stability, a peaceful daily life. Me, I want to take full advantage of life since I know I'm sick. »

Three years ago, Matthew learned that he had Cadasil (a rare hereditary genetic disease – 1 in 24,000 cases – which affects the small arteries of the brain and gives an average life expectancy of 62 years). The next day, he enrolled in 'Love is in the meadow'.

He found love there, but alas, it only lasted a few months. Knowing what happened, Karine Lemarchand decided to react . As a reminder, she allowed their meeting thanks to 'Love is in the meadow', but she was present at their wedding.

Since then, she sees the couple regularly and according to Mathieu's confidences, she would have understood that something was wrong between the two lovebirds.

“I told her straight away and she told me she felt it. That the last time we had eaten together, she had felt… She told me that she had already felt Alexandre gone. While I hadn't felt it, but I was in the middle of the thing so uh…”, admitted the farmer in the columns of Télé-Loisirs.

From now on, Mathieu goes it alone. He is still active on social networks and moreover, very recently, he posted a photo of himself on Instagram . Indeed, the young man took the time to tidy up this Saturday, December 10. He thus discovered a photo of him when he was younger , which he hastened to share on his Instagram account.

“While sorting through my things, I came across this photo taken twenty years ago. Two choices are available to me. The first, anticipating my stay in Mont Blanc by fifteen days and throwing myself from the top of the most beautiful cliff. The second, laughing and telling me that at that age I was a pretentious p’tit evil in his sneakers… The latter is the best… “, he wrote in the caption of the famous photo.
